Flower Silhouette 3 – Watercolor

This one I really like. Not the flower part so much but the colors. I drew the flowers by hand using a paint marker. I do not draw at all but I think it turned out passable. There are people with REAL talent out there and I’m certainly not one of them but I try. πŸ™‚

Flower Silhouette

This is one in a series of five flower silhouette paintings. Try as I might, I could not get rid of the glare. I might put up the others tomorrow. πŸ™‚ Any thoughts?

Check Out This Background Progression in Watercolor!

They say “Third time’s the charm” and in this case, I think they’re right! Notice the drastic change between the first and third backgrounds – what a difference! I didn’t have a real plan – just had some colors in mind when I did the first one and I didn’t like it so I did it again and then again. haha

I used Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, and Cad. Orange.

Flower Sketches in Watercolor

We find inspiration in the most unlikeliest things – at least for me that’s true. I was inspired to paint these sketches/doodles after seeing a lamp in a tv series on Netflix. Of course the lamp wasn’t the focus of the shot but it was MY focus because it was so beautiful. These sketches are a jumping off point for something else which I’m working on now. Where do you find inspiration?

Some Kind of Flower

This one was a do-over but I like how it turned out. The first one isn’t exactly a hot mess but I may be able to salvage it.
