I got this composition from The Mind of Watercolor on YouTube. I kind of followed his video but did my own thing too. After watching it a million times, this is what happened above. 🙂
As always, critiques and criticisms are encouraged. As for my own critique, I wish I could make sand more interesting. Also, learn how to paint other kinds of rocks – all of mine are basically the same.

This painting captures the spirit of a made up place in the poverty-stricken people and sense of community in Lark Rise. Their physical world is much different but this painting reflects the noble character of its’ residents.
Not quite a “hot mess” but it is a fail. I must have blocked this one from my memory because I painted it about two months ago and totally forgot about it. But, like I said before, even the bad ones get the spotlight because they’ll never see the light of day anywhere else. haha 🙂
I work mainly with pen, watercolours and acrylics. While I hope to demonstrate range and versatility though this portfolio, my signature style is most evident in my mixed media pieces - pen and watercolour hybrids. My art constantly delves into nature and man, fantasy and reality, decay and rebirth, despair and hope. I currently teach art and freelance. I'm open to brand collabs, events and commissions. Please contact me to discuss how we can work together.
