Fun With Watercolor Mountains

mountain1I haven’t done much in the way of winter landscapes so I decided that I need some practice. I don’t think there’s one thing that I like about this painting so I tried it again… Continue reading

Misty Trees Watercolor

Here’s another one I did the other day. I’ve made better mist in the past but it was by accident. This was on purpose and didn’t do as well. haha ๐Ÿ™‚ Isn’t that how it usually works? ๐Ÿ™‚ My little mountain/rock thingy on the bottom right looks flat so I need practice on that. I think I should soften those edges on the bottoms of the little trees suspended in the air. haha

Potted Plant (Allegedly)

This is a watercolor that I did yesterday. I like the pot, not the flowers so much. I still need lots of practice. I know there are lots of tutorials on flowers on YouTube and I’ve seen lots of them, but if anyone knows of any tuts that are especially good or informative, please let me know. I need help.

Winter Pines Watercolor

winterpinesThis was a disaster but I covered over it with trees and blue paintย and gouache. I did this one awhile ago andย I put it up now because I haven’t painted lately – been feeling a little under the weather – and I didn’t want my blog to just sit there. ๐Ÿ™‚ IMO, it’s not a ‘hot mess’ but it’s definitely one for the closet. ๐Ÿ™‚ Feel free to throw tomatoes. ๐Ÿ™‚

English Door – Just Playing Around

This is one of the very first watercolor paintings I did when I started painting last year. I was treating it like oil – you can’t even tell it’s watercolor. I’m putting it up here because it will never see the light of day anywhere else. Not quite a “hot mess” but it is inย a drawer and in the “In the Closet” category. Got lots of those. ๐Ÿ™‚ This is loosely based off of a counted cross stitch pattern that I have.
