This is one of the very first watercolor paintings I did when I started painting last year. I was treating it like oil – you can’t even tell it’s watercolor. I’m putting it up here because it will never see the light of day anywhere else. Not quite a “hot mess” but it is in a drawer and in the “In the Closet” category. Got lots of those. 🙂 This is loosely based off of a counted cross stitch pattern that I have.
This is a watercolor I did that’s been majorly digitally enhanced for softness and color. The G’Mic filters I used was Rodilius (dark), Dream Smoothing, and Boost Chromaticity. I used the wet on wet technique for the background, then dry on wet with the fan brush. Swiped with my Rigger and voila! Super colorful, cornea-burning trees. Continue reading →
