This is a watercolor that I did yesterday. I like the pot, not the flowers so much. I still need lots of practice. I know there are lots of tutorials on flowers on YouTube and I’ve seen lots of them, but if anyone knows of any tuts that are especially good or informative, please let me know. I need help.
I haven’t painted in awhile – combination of being busy and being blocked. But I got an urge tonight and decided to do a take 2 of my wisteria painting. I’m having trouble with composition also but thinking about water. Hope you likey 🙂
Experimenting with reflections. I’m finding that paper matters. I’ve been using Canson all this time and have been having a hard time with it drying quickly or not getting the blending or water to behave. I thought it was me until I bought Arches and everything seems to work better for me. Has anyone else noticed this?
This painting is loosely based off of a counted cross stitch pattern that we have. Although this doesn’t do the original stitching justice, I kind of like it. I started off using a black and blue background and painting everything with gouache but it just didn’t look right so I redid it using transparent watercolors. Hope you likey 🙂
Another rose attempt with a spiffy, colorful background in neutrals. To me, this has kind of an ‘old’ feel hence the name. No real plan here – just paint. There are so many talented artists among my WordPress friends – I hope I can be as good as you guys some day.
